About Us

A Tesla Owners Club is a community of owners and enthusiasts committed to advancing Tesla's mission to accelerate the world's transition to sustainable energy. Club members help advocate for Tesla by supporting legislative efforts, offering demo-drives, volunteering at shows, educating new and prospective owners, hosting social events and passionately referring friends and family to explore Tesla ownership for themselves.

TOCNYS is an Official Partner of the Tesla Owners Club Program. Club members help advocate for Tesla by supporting legislative efforts, offering test-drives, volunteering at shows, educating new and prospective owners, hosting social events and passionately referring friends and family to explore Tesla ownership for themselves."

TOCNYS is a registered as a 501(c)(3) charitable organization. There are fees with setting up and maintaining our nonprofit status. To operate and maintain our website requires payment. Lastly, effectively leading a state-wide club is a full-time position which is fulfilled by our Club Manager who: provides oversight of events, members, website management, community engagement, merchandise, leadership and organization of Regional Organizers & Key Members, and much more. With a consistent source of income we are able to keep the club alive and moving forward, all while furthering the mission of Tesla.

Membership in official Tesla Owners Clubs is limited by the Global Tesla Owners Club Program to owners of Tesla vehicles or those with aother Tesla Products. As long as you are a Tesla owner in New York, or a state which borders, you are welcome to join TOCNYS. If you are not a Tesla owner or without a reservation number, you are welcome to join as "Limp Mode" to learn about Tesla and about using sustainable and renewable energies for clean and green transportation.

We ask for your VIN as part of your membership application in order to verify your eligibility to join the club with Tesla. Reservation holders are also eligible, but must provide a valid VIN after delivery in order to remain a member. VIN numbers are kept safe and private.

Our Club Manager, Regional Organizers, and Key Members do their best to plan events on a monthly basis. Events can range from meeting up at the drag-strip to getting tacos and drinking margaritas. Our members are welcomed to reach out to Regional Organizers, Key Members, or the Club Manager if they ever have an idea for an event. Events provide great opportunities to: get more involved with the club, make new friendships, make connections that can be advantageous for your business/career, provide community service, and more. You do not have to be a member of a specific region to attend an event there, events are open to all members unless stated otherwise. Check our event calendar to see all of the currently planned events... but keep checking back because new events are being added regularly.

To support the club's operations and activities to promote our causes to public at-large, to educate and to inform, Tesla Owners Club New York State welcomes your tax-deductible donations through the donation tab (link). 100% of your donations will be used for the club.
