Drive Electric Earth Month is a national campaign to share information about electric vehicles throughout the month of April. In addition to being better for the environment, electric vehicles are more fun to drive, more convenient to fuel and less expensive to operate than gasoline vehicles.
We hope to see you at the upcoming Drive Electric EV Car Show in Penfield, in combination with the Town of Penfield's Arbor Day and Earth Day celebration! April 26, 2025 from 10am-2pm rain or shine!
Local Electric Vehicles (BEVs, PHEVs) will be at the event and their owners will share what it's like to drive an EV and answer any related questions.

Town Supervisor Jeff Leenhouts is excited to announce the Town of Penfield and community partner Color Penfield Green are teaming up for a day of special events at Penfield Community Center on Saturday, April 26 with an Arbor Day Celebration and electric vehicle (EV) show.The Arbor Day Celebration, which will run from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., will include a free native tree giveaway. Featured trees include Eastern Redbud, Red Maple, and White Spruce. The giveaway is first come, first served, and will continue while supplies last. No advance registration is required.
Meanwhile, the EV show runs from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Local EV owners will be at the event with their vehicles to share what it's like to drive an EV and answer any related questions. There will also be EV dealers, an EV School bus, and exhibitors from across the EV network, including Greater Rochester Clean Cities, AMPED Go All Electric, Wise Home Energy, GreenSpark Solar, and others. Those interested in displaying their EV as part of the show can register here.
Town Supervisor Jeff Leenhouts will issue a proclamation during the day’s events in support of the Town's Tree City USA status, the Mayor's Monarch Pledge, and recognize the sustainability benefits of EVs. “This is a great annual event that brings our community together to promote the importance of sustainability and celebrates our commitment to bettering quality of life for residents through programs such as Tree City USA. I hope you will join us for this fun and educational day.”
