Clarification on Upstate NY Tesla Service Centers

Upstate TOCNYS members have been excited since the recent news broke that Tesla was opening Service Centers in both Latham (Capital - Saratoga Region) and Henrietta (Finger Lake Region). Also, for a while there was Buffalo Service Center location that could be found on Tesla's map, indicating it was on the way.

Unfortunately, excitement transitioned to question marks for some of our members who seemed to get mixed signals from the Service Center locations. Among these were being able to schedule appointments at these locations some times but not others, buildings locked during what seemed to be normal business hours, and even markers on the Tesla map disappearing!

In response to this feedback from TOCNYS members, we did some digging with our contacts at Tesla and are happy to pass on the answers we (so promptly) received:

• Buffalo Service Center: It is definitely coming (!), but they can't provide an estimate at this time of when it will open.
  
  
• Henrietta Service Center: It is not fully operational yet and is open by appointment only for the time being (Wednesdays and Thursdays).
  
  
• Latham Service Center: It opens fully starting today (Monday, June 17) and the hours are Monday to Friday from 8 am to 5 pm.
  
  
• Both open locations (Henrietta & Latham) have small inventory/supply at the moment, so parts will likely have to be ordered first and inquiries may result in future repair appointments.

So we hope that helps clear up any Service Center related confusion that may be out there and we will keep doing our best to inform you as soon as we have updates from our end!
