The latest Tesla software update welcomes two highly-anticipated improvements, one to help protect one's car and belongings and the other to help protect one's pet(s).
Sentry Mode
According to Tesla's official announcement of this feature, which can be found here on their website, while no alarm system can prevent against all vehicle thefts, break-ins and threats, we hope that with Sentry Mode and our other security features, your Tesla will be even more secure.
And indeed it should as the car's cameras, internal sensors, main display, and speaker system all team up to provide a united defense to deter would-be criminal activity. Perhaps the biggest benefit however, is protecting an owner's peace of mind, relieving them of the nagging question of whether their vehicle is currently safe or not.
Dog Mode
For the pet owners amongst us, Dog Mode (which could work just as well for cats or kids, no doubt) is also a welcome addition to their vehicle toolbox. This consists of 2 main components: 1. a programmable temperature setting and 2. a message that display on the main screen assuring concerned passers-by that your pet is safe and comfortable.
