Though today is the first official day of Fall, TOCNYS members in Long Island recently accelerated into their Summer's finish line, attending several car shows held on the island, representing EVs, Tesla, and TOCNYS. Traditional car shows are great places to reach out to those who might be attracted to Tesla because of its performance, as opposed to its green credentials.

It can be easy for us accustomed Tesla drivers to forget the novelty of an empty frunk, but wandering spectators used to checking out "what's under the hood" are routinely taken aback by the empty space at the front of our cars.

Tesla owners attending events like these and proudly displaying their vehicles really help to change the previous stereotypes of what an EV is and can be. No longer is it relegated to just a tiny urban tool for commuting in the minds of the public, but it's more and more seen as the serious performance machine of the 21st Century - the next step in automotive evolution!

Thanks especially to TOCNYS member Keith S. for his enthusiasm - he's certainly a driving force for Tesla and TOCNYS on Long Island!
